Stoke Park has an acknowledged reputation as one of the grandest wedding venues in the country and so I was excitedly anticipating being Wedding DJ for Charlotte and Andrew on their big day. I wasn't to be disappointed. What an amazing location; beautiful in every way.
At the pre-event consultation we had discussed music (see the full playlist below) and lighting options, and I was delighted to supply:
lounge music for early evening prior to the reception party
mood lighting throughout the Ballroom
evening reception DJ entertainment
Below you will see I have perfectly complemented the colours of the Ballroom, using a soft blush pink and a light gold. As the ambient light came down the colours became even more striking.
The room had a fantastic fireplace, just perfect for mood lighting.....
I always like to get a First Dance photo but on this ocassion I was to be frustrated as my DJ spot was completely hemmed in by guests and I was unable to get a clean shot!! The music for the Firast Dance was supplied by a pianist and then I followed. After the First Dance Charlotte and Andrew wanted to get the dance action started quickly and selected Taylor Swift's Shake It Off as their preferred second track. We also played it again later!
